Consignor Agreement

Consignment Period

Items are accepted on consignment for a period of seventy-five (75) days.

 

At the beginning of the third month, items may be discounted by up to 50%. Any items remaining at the end of the seventy-five days that have not been picked up by the consignor will be removed from the sales floor, will become store property and may be donated.

If a consignor does not wish for their items to be donated, they must retrieve them before the contract expires. This is the sole responsibility of the consignor.

 

Second Tide does not contact consignors prior to the end of the consignment period.

Consignment Earnings​

Consignors receive:

• 40% on the first $100

• 60% on the remainder of the final selling price of each item

​

Consignors may use account balances as in-store credit or request a cash payout in person. Consignors are responsible for monitoring their account and requesting payouts. Payouts over $200 may be issued via e-transfer.

Pricing

All pricing is determined solely by Second Tide and may be adjusted at any time during the consignment term. Pricing decisions are based on factors including brand, condition, and original retail value.

 

Item Care and Liability

While Second Tide will take reasonable care of all consigned items, we are not responsible for unforeseen circumstances such as loss, theft, or damage. Items are consigned at the owner’s risk.​

The consignor warrants that they are the legal owner of all items and that all items are authentic.

Consignor Portal

Upon opening an account, consignors will receive login credentials to access the online consignor portal, where they can view listed items and available balances.

 

To maintain accurate records, accounts with no activity (no active consignments, payout requests, or account changes) for five (5) consecutive years will be deemed inactive and closed. Any remaining balance will be forfeited and may be retained by Second Tide or donated at the stores discretion.
